Here is an example of something we may find in colic surgery. In this particular surgery case you will see a variation in intestinal health
(the healthy pink vs. dark purple) due to an enterolith (the “stone” pictured).
JIMBO, LRVC
Jimbo was hospitalized with us for almost six months. He had trauma to his front left leg, no one is sure
of the origin but Jimbo. Here are a couple of pictures of his recovery with skin grafts
(the polka dots in the wound).
Boomer B., LRSA
Twas’ the day after Thanksgiving and Puppy Boomer had a stomach ache. We thought for sure we would find a turkey bone, boy were we surprised! Boomer
is doing fine today and luckily has learned his lesson.
Jack B., LRSA
Jack B. impaled himself on a large stick while hiking with his family along the river. We’re not sure how he did it, or how he managed to avoid all major organs! Thankfully, we were able to remove the stick and Jack recovered well.
